I had a fantastic time documenting Peter and Samantha’s engagement session at the Distillery District in Toronto. Weather was great and the sun peaked out a few times during the shoot. Here are some of my favourite photos from the session:
Dwight messaged me a few months ago from North Carolina, USA about me photographing a surprise proposal to his girlfriend, Octavia. We exchanged a few emails to get the planning on point and on a hot summer day at in Toronto at Casa Loma we got it started. Octavia’s birthday was around the corner and she thought it was a birthday photography package Dwight got for her. Once we got to the spot where Dwight wanted to propose, I had Octavia face the wall and I told her to turn around and whip her hair for some portraits. While she stood there, Dwight got down on one knee and took out the ring. When Octavia turned around for the photo she was utterly and thoroughly surprised and then she said “yes” 😀 We then continued on with the now “engagement” photos. Here are some of my favourite images from the session:
I shot Clare and Michael’s engagement session in 2014 and then their wedding in Toronto the year after. This time Clare is pregnant and we went to Edwards Gardens in Toronto for their maternity photos. Its great to document important events in people’s lives. Definitely a good feeling. Here are some of my favourite images from that session.
On a very hot day in Toronto I documented Michaela’s Baptism at a beautiful Greek Orthodox Church. I had previously photographed her older brother’s Baptism a couple of years ago, so capturing these moments was extra special. Here are some of my favourite photos from the day:
