Here’s a selection of some of my favourite photos I took in 2013 at weddings, engagements and a few Baptisms.  Have a Happy New Year, everybody.  Cheers to a great 2014!

There was talk (and is currently ongoing) about Toronto losing the historic Kensington Market.  Something about building a large walmart with a huge parking lot.  What an awful idea.  Anyone who’s been to the Kensington Market will tell you about the cool vibe and atmosphere that this place elicits.  I shot Emma and Derek’s engagement photos there and it was a ton of fun checking out the various graffiti in the alleys, the antique stores and so many different coffee shops, etc.  Its almost like a city within a city.  And to top it off, while we were literally chasing the fading sunlight on this overcast day, we spotted a rainbow near Spadina Ave.  The proverbial cherry on top, if you will.  Here are some photos from that day.

Kristen - What a phenomenal shoot. So fun, and most importantly, so natural. I love that they are doing what they would normally do as opposed to the typical posed engagement shots. The jumping shot and the one on the bench are my favourites.

    Perfect framing, awesome graffiti.ReplyCancel

For this engagement session my office was Bestview Park.  Located just south of Steeles Ave E. in between Leslie and Bayview, in Toronto.  I’m not sure we actually found what the best view was, but all in all it is a nicely wooded park that made us feel as if we were up north in the wilderness.  It was a real pleasure photographing Hilary and Adam, as they are two of the most pleasant and down-to-earth people you can meet.  Here are the photos we made from that day.

I had the chance today to visit Kensington Market in downtown Toronto for an engagement shoot, and it was a blast.  Its seriously a super fun place to shoot.  Here is a quick preview from this session.  The full post in a few days.
