There was talk (and is currently ongoing) about Toronto losing the historic Kensington Market. Something about building a large walmart with a huge parking lot. What an awful idea. Anyone who’s been to the Kensington Market will tell you about the cool vibe and atmosphere that this place elicits. I shot Emma and Derek’s engagement photos there and it was a ton of fun checking out the various graffiti in the alleys, the antique stores and so many different coffee shops, etc. Its almost like a city within a city. And to top it off, while we were literally chasing the fading sunlight on this overcast day, we spotted a rainbow near Spadina Ave. The proverbial cherry on top, if you will. Here are some photos from that day.
So cute Emma! Congrats
OMG! These photos are so freaking adorable! How lovable are you two! Can’t hardly wait for your big day!!!!
I love Kensington Market. And the gif is pretty wicked!
What a phenomenal shoot. So fun, and most importantly, so natural. I love that they are doing what they would normally do as opposed to the typical posed engagement shots. The jumping shot and the one on the bench are my favourites.
Perfect framing, awesome graffiti.

Super cool guys! Congrats!!
Your pics are awesome. It looks like you were having so much fun. Pretty cool 🙂
Well done sir! That gif idea is pretty nifty too.
Haha that gif is great! Love the whole set actually. Nice work Paul!
I love the colors and styles.
For this engagement session my office was Bestview Park. Located just south of Steeles Ave E. in between Leslie and Bayview, in Toronto. I’m not sure we actually found what the best view was, but all in all it is a nicely wooded park that made us feel as if we were up north in the wilderness. It was a real pleasure photographing Hilary and Adam, as they are two of the most pleasant and down-to-earth people you can meet. Here are the photos we made from that day.
Absolutely beautiful! I love it! 🙂
Gorgeous work Paul, such beautiful colours!
Such a nice Fall session! Love the colors.
I love the image of them lying on the floor with leaves. They look so happy.
I had the chance today to visit Kensington Market in downtown Toronto for an engagement shoot, and it was a blast. Its seriously a super fun place to shoot. Here is a quick preview from this session. The full post in a few days.
its really different. nice pics.
The second shot is my favourite, Paul!
This is a short 3-frame preview of Hilary and Adam’s engagement session from Bestview Park, in Toronto. More to come soon.
