It was a very hot and humid afternoon in Toronto on the day Jeremy decided to have his Baptism. It was at the beautiful Saint Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church located near Queen St. W and Bathurst. Fun fact : the Church scenes in the movie “My Big Fat Greek Wedding” were shot here. The family is Ukrainian and it was great to see them wearing traditional clothing. To me, photographically speaking, that always seems to add a little something more to the Ceremony. Here are some pictures of Jeremy getting baptized.
Who doesn’t love a black & white montage? I recently shot a surprise wedding dinner for Michel and his partner at an Italian restaurant in downtown Toronto. A few candid moments from that night.
On a warm and beautiful day in Toronto in early July, I met up with Clare and Michael for their engagement photosession. We started by the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) and then went to U of T via Philosopher’s Walk. A few photos by the old and classy University of Toronto buildings and then we hopped on the subway towards Sheppard Subway station. We went to a park there that had sentimental value to Clare and Michael. They often met at that park when they were dating and I love photographing at places that mean something to people and aren’t just pretty places. Overall we had a great time and they made it easy for me. Here are some pictures from this session.

This is an engagement session shot in Unionville, which is just north east of Toronto. Its a great little town filled with historic buildings and old-fashioned shops and churches. We also took some pictures in a small park and train tracks located in the town. I had a great time working with Jennifer and Philip to create images for them. Here are some shots from that day.
I have always wanted to shoot an outdoor wedding by a lake. So when Janeal emailed me to photograph her wedding in Haliburton, I was quite the happy man. Getting to know the couple a bit better during their engagement photos, I could tell they were even more excited for this day. Steve was to arrive in style, in a boat with his groomsmen while all their guests sat in chairs on grass, facing the lake. Then came the beautiful Janeal walking down the aisle and the couple was married right on the dock. There was a moment there where I almost lost my footing and would have made quite the scene had I fallen into the lake. That’s what I get for trying to find different angles to shoot from. This was followed by some speeches and portraits around the property. The evening festivities included a band from Toronto called the Digs Band and they were awesome! Its fun photographing a band and people dancing, but even better when the music is great. Overall it was a fantastic day and thanks very much to Janeal and Steve for having me! Here are some photos from that day.
